The Other Woman Podcast Episode 8
Feb 23rd, 2011 by theotherwomanpodcast
In this edition the lovely Jude Rogers is back in the 'studio' with Ruth Barnes and Piney Gir, to chat to our pick of London's hip cultural ladies! The 'studio' in this case is The Horatia pub on Holloway Road, which is a fine establishment on an otherwise quite grotty road - with comedy nights, open mic evenings and a weekly Sunday market. We invited Manu from Mishaped Pearls to join us, the stunning voice from the classical/folk crossover outfit - listen to hear their jaw-dropping version of Neil Young's Sugar Mountain. We also check in with young filmmaker Nadia Attia who also co-curates Midnight Movies, hear her explain WHY it's important to watch movies in the dead of night. Also Colleen Murphy AKA DJ Cosmo and the brains behind Classic Album Sundays joins us to talk through why listening to a whole album in full, no phones, no loo breaks, no talking... is the ONLY way to appreciate those classic albums in your collection. We'd love it if you'd follow this link to find us in iTunes, rate us and subscribe!

I love this podcast, really interesting stuff and great presenters! But HATE my own German-Accent-Lisp combined type of delivery - HELP, I need elocution lessons NOW!
